The Kernel will be holding a photo contest once a week for the rest of the semester.
The contest is open to all students, faculty and staff. Winners will have their work displayed here, on K[mm]. Rules and guidelines will be posted later.
Welcome to Expose Yourself.
This page is designed to help student photographers grow and learn from each other. This page will host our weekly photo contest winners, as well as be updated with information about upcoming speakers. For the most current information, check out the UK photojournalism blog, UKPJ.org.

Ed Matthews and Elliott Hess will be representing us in the second round of Hearst - Sports and News. In contrast with round one, portraits and features, this round was really really thin - but we are headed in the right direction. We have already talked about a lot of different news opportunities, such as the Republican Convention. Next fall we should have a very deep, well rounded group of sports and news pictures to turn in. That said, Ed and Elliott both did a good job this semester and their entries are below.
Before this round is judged, UK sits eighth in country for photojournalism. We have come a long way, but still have a long way to go. If you see Ed or Elliott, please congratulate them on their accomplishments and that you are proud that they are representing you.
